IN OWN WORDS:
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be a missionary. “But when, God?” I would pray. Before I knew it, life began. I completed my degrees and started working in Education. Thirty plus years later, my career ended much too soon and maybe that was God's way of answering my prayer. After being accepted by LMH, I thought I would take my professional and life skills and share them in mission with the students of Papua New Guinea. I soon realized that after meeting the people of PNG and having the opportunity to be temporarily immersed in their culture, my life would change for the better. Even though I faced several challenges along the way, overall, I loved my mission experience. I can only say that if God is knocking at the door of your heart to go on mission, I encourage you to pray about it and if you are truly open to new cultural opportunities, I know God will provide you with amazing people and experiences you hadn't even realized you were missing in your life. God bless you on your journey.
