Discernment Weekend - April 19-21, 2024
To facilitate the discernment process of those interested in overseas mission, Lay Mission-Helpers offers Discernment Weekends throughout the year. After completing a Preliminary Form, eligible applicants will be invited to complete a Formal Application. Once completed, applicants are invited to attend a Discernment Weekend. Participants will meet with the LMH Team and learn more about the challenges and joys of mission life. We will discuss current and potential sites where Lay Mission-Helpers are assigned and the type of work that they do. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their questions, concerns, and expectations with the LMH team. There will be time for group discussions as well as individual meetings with members of the LMH team. The program begins on Friday and ends on Sunday afternoon. Mission Cooperation Plan 2024 - Summer 2024
LMH speakers will share our missionary story and seek financial support for our mission in dioceses around the country under the nationwide program called Mission Cooperation Plan which is sponsored by the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. Typically, appeals take place between May and September. As of now, we have been invited to the following (arch)dioceses in 2024.

We will have a booth at the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, IN in July.
