MCA and LMH Partnership: Msgr. Anthony Brouwers Essay Scholarship Contest - September 2025 

Each year, the Lay Mission-Helpers Association partners with the Missionary Childhood Association of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to host an essay contest for Catholic school students in grades 6–8.

This year’s topic is:
“Why is it important that we share God’s love with people from every country, language, and culture?”

  • Essays should be 250–400 words.

  • The top writer in each grade will receive a $500 scholarship toward Catholic school tuition.

  • Entries must be submitted by email to director@laymissionhelpers.org.

  • Deadline: Friday, September 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM (no late entries or password-protected documents will be accepted).

Winners will be announced at the MCA Youth Appreciation Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Tuesday, October 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
 

Rose Gala 2025 - Sunday, October 5

Mark Your Calendar for the 70th Anniversary Rose Gala – 2025!
